Redman, Matthew wedding
Brittany Redman and Kyle Stewart became husband and wife on October 4, 2009 at Holiday Inn Sunspree Resort in Ft. Walton Beach, Florida

Brittany and Kyle, first met in their hometown of St. Louis, Missouri where they both attended high school. He was a senior wrestler and she was a freshman pommer.  Although, Kyle was a friend of her brothers it wasn’t until her brother decided to throw a party that they formed a connection. Ironically, it was then that they realized they would both be leaving soon for a modeling job in Chicago.  From that moment on there was not looking back.

Kyle who had not always spoken highly of marriage decided he had changed his mind.  While on a trip to Cancun, Mexico with family and friends, Kyle decided, during a walk to the beach to take pictures, thatthe time was right for him to propose to Brittany.  As Brittany attempted to fix her windblown hair for the photos, Kyle knelt down on one knee and said “Brittany E’lyse Redman I love you so much, will you marry me?”…as he grabbed her right hand.  Brittany then handed Kyle her left hand and started to cry.  At that moment, Kyle continued to look up at a crying Brittany and said “would you please answer me?” You see, Brittany thought that it was a joke.  When reality finally hit her she excitedly said “YES”!  This was not only a surprise to Brittany but a surprise to the rest of her party- besides her dad who Kylehad previously asked permission.

Brittany and Kyle chose to have a destination wedding in beautiful Ft. Walton Beach, Florida so that as many of their family and friends as possible could also have a great vacation while attending.  It was also very important to Brittany because “the beach” is where Kyle had chosen to propose to her.

The beachside ceremony was held at Holiday Inn Sunspree Resort inFt. Walton Beach.  The ceremony was attended by 80 of the couples closest friends and family members.  Although, it was a rainy day, there was a break in the weather which provided for a gorgeous colorful sky. The bride’s uncle provided the music for the ceremony from the balcony of their hotel.

The bride wore a gorgeous two-piece strapless corset-lace up gown which was embellished with lace, beads, and sequins, and a pick-up skirt which was alsoadorned with the same exquisite detail.   Brittany chose to wear a silver bracelet with blue diamonds which belonged to Kyle’s mother’s great aunt…this covered her something old, something new, something borrowed and something blue.

The groom wore an all white tux with a horizon blue tie.  Brittany likes to call Kyle her “very handsome knight in all white”.  Kyle decided to skip the shoes and go barefoot for the ceremonyon the beach.

Brittany chose a single strap blue chiffon dress for her bridesmaids along with matching earrings and bracelets.  For the groomsman it was black slacks, long sleeve white button up shirts with horizon blue ties, and of course…no shoes required on the beach.  A very important member of the wedding party, the ring bearer was Brittany’s and Kyle’s teacup Yorkie.

The bride’s bouquet featured white roses, hydrangeas and stargazers.  All of the wonderful floral décor was provided by Destin’s, Floralsby the Sea.  Brittany says that working with these professionals was one of the best experiences of her wedding planning.  Sunshine Wedding Company assisted Brittany in planning her big day, as well as capturing those special moments with their great photography.
At the conclusion of the ceremony all of the guests, along with Brittany and Kyle, threw their blessing stones, that had been given to them earlier in the day, into the ocean in unison to send wishes to the new bride and groom. Brittany says the wedding was perfect.

After the ceremony, the wedding party and guests relocated to SunquestCruise’s Solaris Yacht.  Brittany decided to remove her veil for the reception and replace it with a flower in her hair and Kyle decided to add shoes for dancing on the boat.
The reception was catered by Sunquest Cruise’s where the guest dined on an array of finger foods along with an extraordinary meal of shrimp scampi, chicken piscatta, bread and vegetables…all while they cruised the Destin Bay.  After dinner, the wedding party was announced and the bride and groom had their first dance as husband and wife.  Entertainment was also provided by Sunquest Cruise’s which allowed the guests to dance the night away with both live entertainment and an array of favorites by the boat’s DJ. It’s one thing to attend a great wedding reception, but another all together to attend a great floating wedding reception, like the one’s put on by the professionals at Sunquest Cruises.

When the celebration came to an end the couple made their way down the docks, riding a golf cart. The edges of the dock were lined with the many guests holding the gorgeous sparklers which lit the path of the beginning of the couple’s new lives together as Mr. and Mrs. Stewart.

After the reception Brittany, Kyle and their guests decided to make the celebration last a little longer by walking down the path to nearby, Baytowne Wharf for a little more fun.

At the end of the unforgettable day, the couple returned to their suite, before relocating to Kyle’s grandfather’s Destin condo for the remainder of their honeymoon.

The Stewart’s are now living in Moscow Mills, Missouri along with their Yorkie, Tanner, who they refer to as their son.
