HOW THEY MET: We went to college together at Ole Miss. We had a lot of mutual friends but never dated in college. We ran into each other at the beach in Gulf Shores and have been together ever since.

THE ENGAGEMENT: It was at the top of the Empire State Building in NYC during Mother's Day weekend. I was there for my pharmaceutical training class and he surprised me with the engagement. Poor thing, he had to go through the metal detector with the ring.

FAVORITE DATE: The Better than Ezra concert at the House of Blues in New Orleans - we love all their music and it is really special!

WHAT SHE LOVES MOST ABOUT HIM: The way he is so laid-back, and he makes me relax. I am always on the go, and I love the way he makes me realize it's ok just to chill out for a little while! He is also very compassionate and caring.

WHAT HE LOVES THE MOST ABOUT HER: The way she always makes sure I am taken care of. She is very organized and always makes sure I am running on track. She also does lots of sweet things that I would never think to do.

WEDDING COLORS: Apple and gold

WEDDING THEME: A lot of monogrammed touches such as the cake, invitations, and table runners.

WEDDING FLOWERS: Tiger lily roses and white roses.

WEDDING CAKE: White icing and white cake with our monogrammed initials on it.

FAVORITE PARTIES: Our engagement party was at the Rogers-Green House in Laurel, MS - we had excellent food, a great time, and were surrounded by great people.

THE THING THAT WE WOULD HAVE DONE DIFFERENTLY: I would have started hair and makeup earlier on the day of the wedding.

WHAT WAS UNIQUE: We had a lot of hand-painted touches at our reception, which included banners and canvases.

HER ADVICE TO OTHER BRIDES: Take pictures before the wedding. The photographer can arrange it so you still have that intimate moment where you see each other for the first time. If not, you will miss most of your reception. Also, wait a couple days after the wedding to leave for your honeymoon - you will feel much more relaxed and together.
