Blushing Bride
By Alisha Nowlin
Your wedding day is around the corner and your plans for a perfect celebration are coming together. Now is the time to start concentrating on you! All eyes will be on the blushing bride, and you want to look fresh and beautiful for your wedding day.
To find the look you desire for your big day, start clipping photos from magazines of make-up looks and styles that you really like. Remember, your weddings pictures will be ones you'll look at for years to come, so the look you want should be fresh and natural, enhancing your personal beauty.
Once you have decided on the perfect look, you must decide if you'll go to the make-up counter at a local department store or see a professional make-up artist, depending on your budget. The biggest difference between the two will be the level of service and cost.
Two to three months before your big day make a couple of appointments with various markup artists or cosmetic counters of your choice. You will want to try different types of make-up and make-up artists to decide which one works best for you. Remember to take your ideal looks that you clipped out from the magazines, so the artist knows what you have in mind. Makeup artists are often booked in advance, so remember to call and make an appointment! And don’t forget about your bridal portraits. This is an excellent opportunity to see how your make-up will look in your professional pictures.
If you want a referral for a professional make-up artist, contact your photographer to get the names of artists they have worked with and can recommend. Professional make-up artists are typically experienced and trained in order to specialize in fashion and photography. Their fee usually includes a trial run, your bridal portrait and wedding day. And they will come to you! Remember, normal fees cover only your make-up, but you can negotiate a special rate if you want to add your bridal party as well. Make sure you find out about the lipstick, lip liner and powder that your artist uses so you can have it for touch-ups on your special day. Sometimes the make-up artist will provide them for you.
Your wedding day is a day you looked forward to for so long. Take time to pamper yourself and let someone else enhance your beautiful features. As you look back on your wedding day pictures, you'll appreciate having looked like a blushing bride!
